Godspell Opens this Weekend

Submitted by on April 26, 2010 – 9:26 amNo Comment

The most impressive dramatic role of all time? “Yeah, I’m playing the omnipotent voice of God…” Godspell is  a production that will rouse even the sleepiest attendees, boasting lots of room for creativity and improvisation, accompanied by a slew of rock music. This play is all about the vivacious actors, making big sounds and movements to keep the stage alive and interactive. If its been a while since you’ve been to sunday school – or you are a vampire in danger of bursting into flames upon entering a church – attending Godspell is a good way to brush up on the Gospel Accorrding to St. Matthew. Add up the zesty actors, internationally-beloved music, including the hit “Day by Day,” choreography by Alexander Card, direction by Alexis Dascoulias, and Musical Direction by Steven Dascoulias, and Maui Onstage has once again concocted a great evening for quiet little Maui. Godspell will be at the Historic Iao Theater on Fridays and Saturdays at 7:30pm and Sundays at 3pm from April 30th to May 16th. Visit mauionstage.com or call 244-8680 to reserve tickets or for more info. Students and Seniors $18, Adults $20
