JAZZ, TAP, AND HIP HOP REVUE

SIR DANCEALOT

MOVES

This weekend, the MACC will be swarming with young dancers, nervous and giddy about the three performances of the Spring Estravaganza. On Saturday the 22cnd, at 3 pm, an energetic troop will perform the annual Jazz, Tap, and Hip Hop Revue. Sunday the 23rd, also at 3 pm, the ballerinas will take their turn in a unique ballet titled “Sir Dancealot.” One young man spends the production simultaneously courting the lead ballerinas of five seperate ballets: Le Corsaire, Giselle, Firebird, Butterfly Lovers and Tarzan. Eventually the ladies catch on to his tricks, and slap him around a bit (just with less unattractive yelling and more graceful leaping and deep plies than you would see from an average woman in that situation.) Later on Sunday, at 7:30 pm, Moves takes the stage. This presentation is a collection of original choreography, so rest assured, it will surprise and enchant, not feel like the 7th viewing of a home video. Whatever day or style you fancy, it should be a lovely weekend that is the product of months of hard work, so come enjoy and support MAPA students in their wonderful spring endeavor. $12-$15.
