On this, the 71st anniversary of the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor, the Story of Hawaii Museum will present Maui author and war historian Deborah C. Pike. Attendees can also view the museum’s recently expanded World War II display, which includes USO pamphlets, original newspaper headlines, artifacts from the Japanese military, Rising Sun flags, senninriki and printed propaganda. There is also an original photo of the admirals of the Combined Japanese Fleet that was taken weeks before the Pearl Harbor attack at Iwakimi Naval Base in Japan.
