Ozomatli’s early days were spent at community outreach events, political protests and inner city schools. Today they epitomize Los Angeles. Going from hometown heroes to getting named U.S. Cultural Ambassadors, Ozomatli has entertained for over a decade. The group has a wide array of musical style: an urban-Latino collision of hip hop and salsa, dancehall and cumbia, samba and funk, merengue and comparsa, East L.A. rhythm and blues, Jamaican reggae and Indian raga. From Japan to Myanmar, Jordan to India, Ozo is an international phenom. Don’t miss a taste of the unfiltered mash up of eclectic bliss. $30-$55. 7:30pm. Maui Arts and Cultural Center, Yokouchi Pavilion Courtyard (One Cameron Way, Kahului); 808-242-7469; mauiarts.org
