This Friday through Sunday, Feb. 1-3: Maui Fringe Festival at Maui OnStage

Maui OnStage, in partnership with Whole Foods Market Maui, will present the third annual “Maui Fringe Theater Festival”. It’ll feature one-act plays with performers from New York, Los Angeles and Maui. The marathon of theater will open with They Call Me Q! by Qurrat Ann Kadwani. Kadwani is an award-winning actress from New York City who’s been touring her one-woman show all over the U.S. From Maui, there’s John Brown’s Body by Will Hausman and starring Paul Janes-Brown as the abolitionist John Brown. And from Improv Olympic West in Los Angeles comes the hysterical one-woman show Turner & Hooch 2: Murder at the Wackenheim Manor by Julia Wackenheim. There will also be showcase performances by 2011 award winner Sharyn Stone, the Ultraviolets, excerpts from Shout!: the Mod Musical and more. Iao Theater (68 N.
