The public is also invited to take part in the community beach cleanup (9am), enjoy music, guest speakers and a beach party celebrating the finish line (noon). The Butterfly Effect originated on Maui seven years ago by professional windsurfer Tatiana Howard. $40 registration. 8:45am. Baldwin Beach (Alawai Road, Paia), Betheeffect.com
