The Merwin Conservancy invites you to the The Green Room, a new literary salon series engaging the community through the exploration of literature, art and nature. The inaugural event welcomes writer Alexander Maksik, whose latest work is A Marker to Measure Drift. The New York resident has been featured in many publications, including The New York Times and Harper’s. The evening will also feature Maui-based photographer Daniel Sullivan’s latest project–hiking the King’s Trail. Live music and pupus will be served. Books are available at Puka Puka in Paia, Barnes & Noble in Lahaina and at the salon. Seating is limited and sponsorships are available for those interested. $25-$1000. 6:30pm-9pm. Fort Faught (200 Kaluanui Rd., Makawao), Merwinconservancy.org
