Inspired by their journeys to Ireland, Philip and Pam Boulding will reveal their latest compositions and newer music in a Magical Strings concert. They’ve performed throughout the U.S., Canada, Ireland and Japan, toured and recorded with Dan Fogelberg and recorded 18 albums on four labels. Inspired by the music of Keola Beamer, Philip developed a style of slack-key music for the Celtic harp. Philip and Pam also design and build Celtic harps, run the School of Magical Strings and host the Magic Hill Summer Harp Camp and Summer Fairy School in the Northwest. There will also be a harp workshop for all who are interested prior to the concert from 1pm to 3pm. $15-$20. 4pm. St. John’s Church (8992 Kula Hwy.); 253-857-3716, magicalstrings.com
