This Sunday, Sept. 1: Keiki Tilapia Fishing Tournament

The fifth annual Keiki Tilapia Fishing Tournament is returning to benefit the Maui United Way this Sunday. Keiki ages two to 18 are invited to cast their lines at Ka’anapali Golf Course Pond. The biggest (and smallest) catch will be recognized in each age category with trophies. The catch-and-release tournament gathers 600 keiki island-wide and is presented by the Maui Electric Company and Ka’anapali Golf Course. Keiki must register ahead of time. Go online to register and get the rules. 6:45am-9am. $20. Ka’anapali Golf Courses, Pond (2290 Ka’anapali Pkwy.), Mauielectric.com
