Open for Bon Jovi: Guitar Hero Experts Need Not Apply
Don't deny it...you know you want to...
If you have a kick-ass band and rock a guitar 
(the kind with 6 real strings, not colorful buttons), enter the contest for Hawaii bands to be the opening act for the February 2010 Bon Jovi concerts on Oahu. Sadly, the only song I can play well on my guitar is “Stairway to Heaven” and I recently decided that I am tone deaf (It’s too bad I didn’t realize that before all the guitar lessons. I’d like to note that my lack of skill is a result of said tone-deafness, not my excellent guitar teacher.) Therefore, I must live vicariously through others, and any band who reads this should give the contest a shot. Here’s how to do it:
1. By January 25th, 2010: Submit a Bio, Contact Information, and CD with one song 3 minutes long or less to: Tom Moffatt Productions, 1232 Waimanu Street, Penthouse, Honolulu, HI 96814
2. If you are one of the 20 semi-finalists: Send a video via YouTube to be judged by local celebrities.
3. Out of those 20, 5 will be chosen on February 1st: They will have a clip of the video shown on KHON Wake-UP 2Day morning show
4. The 5 on February 8th: Will be featured in-studio on the KHON Wake-UP 2Day morning show, and two will be selected to be interviewed and have their video aired. And they win the two opening act spots for the BON JOVI CONCERTS on February 11th and 12th, 2010.
